Trillion Mortgage Open Pattern Announcement

A New Direction in Pattern De

sign

With the Trillion Mortgage Open just around the corner, we're taking a fresh step forward in lane pattern philosophy. The pattern for this event builds off the 43-foot architecture from last season, but introduces a few subtle changes designed to shift how bowlers approach their game.

The biggest difference? We're experimenting with how and where friction shows up. The pattern essentially delays its effective start, using a quick 12-to-12 load early, then holding off the main volume until nearly ten feet down the lane. It’s not about eliminating urethane — it’s about repositioning how and when it works.

Urethane has long been a hot topic in the bowling world. With governing bodies exploring restrictions and the competitive community debating its place, we believe in a different approach. Rather than ban a tool from the bag, we’re aiming to create conditions where bowlers have to think more critically about when and how to use it. Our goal isn’t to remove urethane — it’s to make it situational, just like every other ball you bring to the lanes.

This pattern is our latest effort to evolve the challenge. It's not just about creating difficulty — it’s about encouraging skill, adaptability, and smart decisions. You might find success with urethane on this pattern, or you might need to pivot to something else. What matters is your ability to read the lanes and adjust.

Will it work? Time will tell. But we’re committed to trying new things, learning from every result, and continuing to refine the experience we deliver at the CB TOUR.

See you on the lanes.
